Last friday I couldn't watch Wynonna Earp, so this one comes right after the new episode.
Contains Spoilers, also, spiders.

Wynonna's guilt
Shed your skin, finds Wynonna trying to deal with leadership and loneliness. And taking showers, because as Agent Lucado (Kate Drummond) said: We don't touch the goo (Damn you, Lucado for this late piece of advice). The Earp heir spend this hour shooting and maiming spiders (as you should). She is trying to make the best after basically selling her soul to Black Badge. Feeling alone as Doc pulls away from her, Waverly spends her time with Nicole and Dolls is... not there, trying to survive.
She kinda reconnected with a School friend, Mercedes (Dani Kind), who is in town after her siblings basically spent all the family fortune and she needs to step up. After the demonic arachnids attacks her, she calls her old pal Wynonna who comes to the rescue.
The oldest Earp also thinks Willa's ghost is haunting her after she killed her, as she keeps smelling her perfume, and seeing this woman in black.

Doc shenanigans
Lucado was practically demoted to Purgatory after the stunt she pull on the Black Badge division HQ, and isn't putting with anyone shit. She keeps questioning Doc about his role on the team, and he keeps avoiding answering, and even avoiding Wynonna herself.
Nedley (Greg Lawson) is interested in keeping Shorty's open, so he offers the establishment to Doc, who promises to make it work. However he's particularly interested in the basement lab, and he enlist Rosita (Tamara Duarte) to cook whatever he needs to brew down there (I hope he is actually reverse engineering Dolls' formula, thing)
At the top of the hour, he managed to steal some files from a safe Lucado had in the office, and he found out the Agent hired some mercenaries to finish Dolls. Information he uses to blackmail her into giving him money to open the bar.
After a second of giving a shit, he warns Wynonna about getting soft, and he reminds her that Lucado is still the enemy.

Waverly's diet
Nicole's still distant with the youngest Earp, as she feels that she has been practically demoted as the result of Waverly not including her on the Black Badge contract (Ep. 2.01) However is Nicole who gives her girlfriend the lead on the case of the week.
Waverly tries to help her sister to let go of Willa as they burn and redecorate her room. The sisters are hanging out around the fire when they get Mercedes call, of course Waverly gives her sister a helping hand with the giant problem.
She confides on her girlfriend on what Bobo told her, about not being an Earp, and Nicole after a little talking, and letting the BBD thing go, offers her help, in finding out if she is, or is not an actual Earp, bringing papers to request birth certificates, medical records, school documents and such. Waves is, grateful with her girlfriend, and the way she cares about her, and then proceed to have a very damn cute nose kiss, and also sex,(with consent! as Nicole makes sure she gets it).

Waverly is still conflicted about the not being an Earp situation, as she keeps reading Willa's old diary when she complains about a baby Waverly, when Wynonna gets in, trying to connect with her baby sister about Willa, but she let her know Nicole is still upstairs. Waves asks her sister to sit outside and take a break, she moves towards the fridge to grab a bite, when demon Waverly makes her episode appearance and takes a bite of the goddamn spider Jeremy was examining earlier.

Jeremy's crush
The newest member of the squad, isn't quite the newest member as Wynonna kinda doesn't want him on the team; she sees him as Lucado's Lap dog. The guy has also been demoted by BBD and is having a hard time without his lab. However, Varun Saranga has so far being a great addition to the team, even with his limited time on the screen.
Jeremy spends his time basically being unaware of his innuendos when asking about the way the team deals with demons, and having a crush on Doc.

The chemist
I'm still unsure of what's the deal with Rosita. She will be working at Shorty's but we know is a cover up for her work as Doc's chemist on whatever the hell he is doing down the bar. She seeks protection, as like she said: Is tired of running and hiding. Is she a revenant? And if so, how will really react Wynonna when she finds out she is working for Doc.

The Case
Wynonna and Waverly managed to destroy the demon-spider-eggs, but later in the hour they realize the eggs were just covering something in the school basement. Something that attracts the supernatural to purgatory, hence the ghostly women in black figures, and stupid Earl.
The sister rush to the place only to find Earl corpse there, and some kind of door thingy, like cut out of a cult scene.

"This is a shit show, but is our shit show"
This episode actually felt like the first episode of the season, as the previous one had the task to tie up all the loose ends of the last season. Shed your skin, poses the mission of the season, while introducing even more new characters. The highlights were of course the fantastic one liners and the humor, something I honestly love. However I missed Dolls, his sourness and Doc's hat. I love the way the show portrays the relationship between the Earp sisters, how protective Wynonna is, and how much Waverly adores and respects her big sister. Which is the big tragedy taking into account both of their biggest fears are basically happening as Wynonna's mission to keep Waverly safe is already (apparently) doomed, as Waves is possessed by the dark goo. And on the other hand is Waverly's fear of her sister rejection if she is not really an Earp. I don't expect Wynonna Earp to be big win all the award show, (honestly, I would give it a lot of awards) but this show keeps giving me great hours of entertaining television.
Score: 4.1/5
