  • Tom Holland confirms Venom is not part of the MCU. The spider-man actor comments come after Sony executive producer Amy Pascal hinted that the alien villain could indeed be part of the same universe as Iron Man and Captain America.

  • Ben Affleck is in negotiations to star in The accountant sequel, as the movie moves forward as Warner Bros. The Accountant 2 will likely involve the return of Jon Bernthal, who played the hitman brother of Affleck’s character in the first film.

  • Conjuring 3 officially in the works, the movie is set to continue the stories of the Warren's as both Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are expected to return. However, James Wan will only serve as executive producer as he has stepped down from directing. No word on who will direct yet.

  • Baby Driver star Anser Elgort is set to portray a young John F. Kennedy in world war II drama, Mayday 109. Kennedy was the commander of patrol torpedo boat PT 109 in the South Pacific when it was rammed by a Japanese destroyer Amagin, killing two crewmen. Kennedy swam over two miles to two other islands in search of help and food, then led his men to Olasana Island, which had coconut trees and drinkable water, before they were rescue. No director is yet attached.

  • Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie joins Steve Carell in Robert Zemeckis' untitled drama at Universal. Christie will portray Anna, the Russian caretaker to Carell's Mark, a man who after a violent assault builds a miniature world war 2 village as a way to cope. The project has a November 21, 2018 date for release.

  • Director Matt Reeves wants to honor the “World’s Greatest Detective” moniker with a noir-driven Batman film. The Batman film is currently without release date.

  • Actress Alice Braga steps in as Rosario Dawson departs, to play Dr. Cecilia Reyes, a medical doctor who has the ability to generate a protective bio-field around herself. The X-men spin off: New Mutants has a release date for April 13, 2018.

  • X Men: Dark Phoenix confirms actor Evans Peters to reprise his role as Quicksilver. The actor has portrayed the mutant for fox since X Men: Days of Future Past. Also coming on board to the movie is Lamar Johnson [The Next Step] no word yet on what character will Johnson be playing. Long time X-men producer Simon Kinberg is writing and the movie will be his directorial debut, which is slated to open on Nov. 2, 2018.

  • 20th Century Fox has set 6 new Marvel movies to release through 2021. No word on which properties will these movies be, but Deadpool 3 is pretty much a safe bet at this point.

  • Top Gun: Maverick gets release date. The sequel to the 1986 fave will be released on July 12, 2019.

  • I do... Until I don't starring Lake Bell, Ed Helms, Mary Steenburgen, Paul Reiser, Wyatt Cenac, Amber Heard and Dolly Wells. An ensemble comedy following three couples stuck in the web of a jaded filmmaker looking to prove that marriage should be a seven-year contract with an option to renew

  • The Greatest Showman stars Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson.Inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.

  • Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. The tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji. When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatar. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji. Jumanji plays you. They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever…

  • [Red Band Trailer] A Bad Moms Christmas Starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christine Baranski, Susan Sarandon, Cheryl Hines, Jay Hernandez, Wanda Sykes, Peter Gallagher, Justin Hartley, Oona Laurence. Our three under-appreciated and over-burdened women rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for moms: Christmas. And if creating a more perfect holiday for their families wasn’t hard enough, they have to do all of that while hosting and entertaining their own mothers. By the end of the journey, our moms will redefine how to make the holidays special for all and discover a closer relationship with their mothers.

  • [UK trailer] Logan Lucky Starring Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig and Adam Driver. The Logan’s are a blue-collar family from the hills of West Virginia, and their clan has been famous for its bad luck for nearly 90 years. But the conniving Jimmy Logan decides it’s time to turn the family's luck around, and with a little help from his friends, the Redneck Robbers, he plans to steal $14 million from the Charlotte Motor Speedway on the busiest race day of the year.

  • Ingrid goes west Starring Aubrew Plaza, Elizabeth Olsen, Wyatt Russell, Billy Magnussen, and O'Shea Jackson Jr.. Following the death of her mother and a series of self-inflicted setbacks, young Ingrid Thorburn escapes a humdrum existence by moving out West to befriend her instagram obsession and LA socialite Taylor Sloane. After a quick bond is forged between these unlikeliest of friends, the façade begins to crack in both women's lives — with comically malicious results.

  • Breathe Stars: Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Diana Rigg. Based on the true story of Robin (Garfield), a handsome, brilliant and adventurous man whose life takes a dramatic turn when polio leaves him paralyzed.

  • Death Note Stars Nat Wolff, Keith Stanfield, Margaret Qualley and Willem Dafoe. Intoxicated by the power of a supernatural notebook, a young man begins killing those he deems unworthy of life. Based on the famous Japanese manga. Death Note streams on Netflix August 25.

  • [Final Trailer] Atomic Blonde starring Charlize Theron, James McAvoy, John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones. The crown jewel of Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service, Agent Lorraine Broughton is equal parts spycraft, sensuality and savagery, willing to deploy any of her skills to stay alive on her impossible mission.
